Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WebToPin ("we", "our", "the Service") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our Pinterest scheduling and AI content tools at webtopin.com. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you register.
- Pinterest connection data: when you connect your Pinterest account, Pinterest shares an OAuth access token and refresh token with us through their official authorization flow, along with basic account and board details. We never see or store your Pinterest password.
- Content you provide: images, titles, descriptions, tags, keywords, destination links, articles and board selections you create or upload when scheduling pins or writing articles.
- Connected website details: if you connect a WordPress site for article publishing, the site address and the site key you paste into the Service.
- Messages you send us: the details you enter in our contact form.
- Usage and technical logs: records of publishing activity, API calls, errors and credit usage, used for troubleshooting, security and abuse prevention.
- Cookies: we use an essential session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To create and authenticate your account and operate the Service.
- To publish the pins and articles you schedule, at the time you choose.
- To generate text, images and articles you request with AI.
- To display your scheduling history, credits and troubleshoot failed publishes.
- To respond to your messages and provide support.
- To protect the Service, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
3. How we store and protect your data
Pinterest access and refresh tokens are stored on our secured server and are only transmitted to Pinterest's official API over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the Service:
- Pinterest: your scheduled pin content, sent to publish it to your boards as you direct.
- AI providers: the titles, keywords, prompts and article text needed to generate content are sent to the AI text and image providers configured for the Service. They process this data to return results and are governed by their own privacy terms.
- Your WordPress site: articles and images you publish are sent to the site you connect.
- Hosting and email providers that help us run the Service.
- Authorities or successors where required by law or in connection with a business transfer.
5. Disconnecting Pinterest
You may disconnect your Pinterest account at any time from your dashboard. This removes your stored access tokens from our database. You can also revoke access directly from your Pinterest account settings.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and scheduling history for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it. We may keep limited records afterwards where needed for security, legal or accounting reasons.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International processing
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where we can, we choose providers that protect data appropriately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or within the Service.
